Devonté Hynes Details We Are Who We Are Score

Devonté Hynes has detailed the release of his score for HBO’s new coming-of-age series We Are Who We Are. The album—titled We Are Who We Are (Original Series Score)—includes 12 original tracks from Hynes, as well as compositions from Julius Eastman and John Adams. The score is out October 2 via Milan Records.

Also on October 2, Milan Records is releasing We Are Who We Are (Original Series Soundtrack), which was curated by the show’s creator Luca Guadagnino and music supervisor Robin Urdang. The soundtrack features three live Blood Orange songs, newly recorded at Bologna’s Club Locomotiv for the TV series.

Elsewhere on the soundtrack are songs by Radiohead (“House of Cards”), Prince (“The Love We Make”), and Arto Lindsay (“Child Prodigy”), as well as a cover of Sade’s iconic “Soldier of Love,” recorded by Martin Scorsese’s daughter, actress Francesca Scorsese, who portrays Britney Orton in the HBO series. Check out the tracklists and album covers for both releases below.

We Are Who We Are premiered on September 14; the show airs on HBO on Mondays at 10 p.m. Eastern.
